This event has been CANCELLED and will run in May instead.

Embroidery is a rewarding and affordable way to enhance your clothing and other belongings, an excellent gift to give in any season, and an interesting way to explore symbols and design motifs. Join in the long history of embroidery as a mode of self-expression in this two-week class.

Together we will gather inspiration, design our own patterns with abstract shapes or symbols from the natural world, learn stitches to make these designs a reality, and bring our ideas to fruition. Library staff will assist you along the way.

Feel free to bring an item of clothing you’re hoping to embellish – or use some of our fabric to play around. We will provide all the other necessary supplies for this project!

Free and open to all adults and teens ages 13 and up.

Prerequisites: This class is appropriate for anyone with basic sewing skills, or folks who have tried embroidery at least once. If you’d like to learn some of the foundational stitches, please register for Embroidery 101.

Registration is required.
