What is it like to live, as over 1 billion people do today, on only one dollar per day? The World Affairs Council of New Hampshire is proud to present "Living on One Dollar" as a part of the Crossroads Film Series. This series, focused on illuminating films about international topics, provides the audience with a multimedia experience to better understand these complex issues. Each film is followed by an in-person speaker who will answer questions about the central issues of the film. This event is free and open to all, but registration is required through the WACNH website.

In this documentary, four friends travel to Guatemala to experience what it is like to spend no more than $1 per day for eight weeks. This life changing journey shows the audience the challenges faced by so many people just to survive, while also the generosity they encounter along the way. They battle hunger, parasites, and almost daily rain storms in their attempts to better understand how global poverty impacts the lives of so many.

The post film discussion will focus on the global impacts of poverty and how the effects are felt right here in New Hampshire. Conversations on big solutions and local actions that can make a difference will close out the discussions.

Registration is required. Capacity is limited. Find out more and register now!
