Knock, knock, knock! Who's there, i' the name of Beelzebub? Why, tis a new opportunity which hath arisen for you, like some foul ghost or fearsome thing from the story of Macbeth!
Come hither, to the Portsmouth Library, online or in person for the very first time, and join Shakespearean Discussion Group. Pick up a video recording of the play to view at your leisure, and then join us anon, at the last Tuesday of the month when the bell tolls four to discuss your experience with The Bard’s work. As from your graves rise up, and walk like sprites to attend this merry meet with any who might find enjoyment in the wondrous words of Shakespeare!
On Tuesday, October 26, we will discuss Macbeth.
Print copies of this play will be available for checkout with a library card, along with several productions on DVD. Library cardholders also have streaming access to the BBC production on Kanopy – visit cityofportsmouth.com/library/kanopy to connect. Or, watch any of these freely available productions:
Registration is required. This event will be held in the Hilton Garden Room, and online! Attend either way.
