Outdoor Guitar Sundays: Live Guitar Performances
at Portsmouth Public Library & Portsmouth Music and Arts Center
Sundays July 11 and August 8, 3 PM
This popular series from Portsmouth Public Library and PMAC (Portsmouth Music and Arts Center) is back! Guitar Sundays will continue this summer outdoors, produced and curated by Mitch Shuldman. These free concerts will be held at 3 PM, and the first is on Sunday, July 11 in the field beside the library.
Drawing from a rich selection of guitar talent from both New Hampshire and the greater Boston area, the series of recitals will highlight the versatility and range of the guitar from classical to jazz to acoustic.
July 11 @ PPL
Duo Molinos: Leticia Prieto Alvarez (viola & piano) and Daniel Acsadi (guitar)
Duo Molinos - Leticia Prieto Alvarez (viola & piano) and Daniel Acsadi (guitar) - met at New England Conservatory in 2003. Leticia arrived from Spain with a Fulbright Scholarship and discovered the field of music therapy. She’s passionate about music’s effect on the brain and its power to build connections. Born in Hungary, Dan is a performer, teacher, and arts administrator. He creates innovative transcriptions, commissions new works from acclaimed composers, and strives to cultivate communities through the power of music. The unique combination of viola and guitar joins together lyricism, expression, and richness of texture. As part of its repertoire, Duo Molinos explores the musical heritage of Spain and Hungary.
No registration required. Space is limited to 65 attendees.
