Write a Letter to 2123: 400th Anniversary Time Capsule
Through December 30, 2023
Citizens of Portsmouth are preparing a 100-year time capsule, to be opened in 2123! The brainchild of former Assistant Mayor Jim Splaine and former Superintendent Bob Lister, the “Portsmouth NH 400th Anniversary Time Capsule" will give us a chance to remember our past and to envision our future.
Please take a moment in the library lobby and write a letter to the future, to be read by Portsmouth residents 100 years from now!
The capsule will be sealed at City Hall on December 31. For more details, read Splaine’s op eds on Seacoast Online or in the Portsmouth Herald.
