This month's Whim Whams is a KITTEN SHOWER!!! Kittens come all year long, but spring is when the local animal shelters get a LOT of them! Come learn about what animal shelters do, how to help, how to care for your own animals, and, most importantly, MEET A REAL LITTER OF KITTENS!!!!!
That's right, Pope Memorial Humane Society will be here with kittens! We'll have a story, time for questions, and then we'll get to cuddle those kittens!
Please register for this program, and if you can, bring a donation for the animals (just like a baby shower)!
Whim Whams was first presented by Portsmouth Public Library's Youth Services in the 80’s, and since retro is cool, we're bringing it back! Each month, on early release days, we will feature a different activity for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Each session is free, and you don't have to attend all of them to take part.
This after-school series will invite local experts, artists and craftspeople, as well as library staff, to come in and share their knowledge and skills with the kids. Potential activities include a writing workshop, a martial arts demonstration and introduction, a maker day, and more!
