Join us for Whim Whams at 1pm on Wednesday, April 10th!

This month we're getting green to celebrate Earth Day! We'll have a story or two, some time for writing Earth Day acrostics (or other poem styles if you're so inclined 😉), and finally we'll all make some grass heads to take home and watch them grow! Make sure you sign up here so we have enough supplies for everyone. See you then!

Whim Whams was first presented by Portsmouth Public Library's Youth Services in the 80’s, and since retro is cool, we're bringing it back! Each month, on early release days, we will feature a different activity for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Each session is free, and you don't have to attend all of them to take part.

This after-school series will invite local experts, artists and craftspeople, as well as library staff, to come in and share their knowledge and skills with the kids. Potential activities include a writing workshop, a martial arts demonstration and introduction, a maker day, and more!
