His picture books are some of the most popular in the library! His illustrations have brought Mercy Watson and the characters of Deckawoo Drive alive. His character Jack has imagined building a school, car and house and now will imagine building a town and you can hear it FIRST!

Portsmouth Public Library and G. Willikers! Toys and Books invite you to meet author/illustrator Chris Van Dusen during a book release party for his latest title If I Built a Town due out on September 30!  Hear him read from his BRAND NEW BOOK and then ask him all of your questions!  

Chris's favorite part of visiting schools and libraries is engaging with you - hearing your stories, about the books you love and what you wonder about how he comes up with ideas and creates his picture books.  

Following the short presentation Chris will sign books and meet everyone personally. Copies of If I Built a Town will be available for purchase through G. Willikers! at the event. Other titles from Chris's corpus of books may also be available to purchase subject to availability.
