Join us in person and online for a variety of activities to celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day! Don't have a library card yet? Come get one today and receive a special swag bag! Everyone over the age of five who is a Portsmouth resident is eligible for a FREE library card!

Throughout the day:

  • Stop by and pick up a Take and Make activity! First come first served! Word searches, coloring pages and other activity sheets will also be available to pick up in the library.
  • While you are here, check out our new scavenger hunt featuring one of our favorite book characters!
  • Also fill out a masked emoji with reasons you love the library to be put on display
  • Register for a LEGO challenge by emailing Mollie at memulligan@cityofportsmouth.com and receive a bag of LEGOs to take home for the challenge.
