Guitar Sundays return to the Portsmouth Public Library in October! Join us in welcoming Val Ramos, Flamenco guitarist, and his special guest, Tere Luna, for a free Sunday afternoon concert!
The Guitar Sunday series proudly presents international Flamenco guitar master Val Ramos who will perform a recital of traditional and contemporary Flamenco guitar music. Ramos will be accompanied by Rumba Flamenca singer, Tere Luna.
Val Ramos has been hailed as "a hidden treasure of Flamenco in the Americas. Superb musicianship" (Flamenco Connection) and "The Best of classical Flamenco brought to modern standards" (Rootsworld.com).
Registration is not required. This is a drop-in event. Please arrive early to secure your seat.
About Val Ramos
Val Ramos is recognized internationally as one of the best Flamenco guitarists in the United States. He made his professional debut in 1985 on the Disney Channel's "Coming On!," a show that visited college campuses all across America to show off exceptionally talented students. He plays with his brother Jose Ramos and the Val Ramos Flamenco Ensemble. He has played and toured throughout Europe and the United States. He released three CDs of original Flamenco guitar compositions, and has been featured in a variety of guitar music samplers produced by the Connecticut Guitar Society.
