Details
Have there been significant moments in your life that have moved you, whether joyful, humorous, or challenging? Have you ever thought about putting them down on the page and crafting stories from your life?
Whether you are just beginning to write, or whether you have years of experience, this class will speak to those who are driven to the page by what they have seen, touched, and heard. Gina Troisi, local Eliot author, will offer writing exercises and prompts that will encourage you to generate new pages. She will share detailed techniques about craft, such as scene and setting, sensory detail, and how to use metaphor in our personal writing. She will offer examples from her memoir, The Angle of Flickering Light, as well as published works by other authors in order to illustrate her points. Writers of all levels and backgrounds are welcome.
Registration is required. Space is very limited. If we have a waitlist, we will offer this workshop again!
