Harvest Time

Fall is a time for giving thanks for nature’s bounty and for one another. Come make a quill pen and learn how to share your thanks using traditional calligraphy. Test your game skills and see how far you can launch acorns with a catapult. And, make a cornhusk doll to take home to don your Thanksgiving table.

Join Indigenous Storyteller, Anne Jennison, who will share tales central to the Wabanaki cultures of New Hampshire and the Northeast. These stories are centered around Gluskabe, the magical hero of these traditional Wabanaki stories. Be sure to choose this option in the registration process if you would like to attend Storytelling.

Gretyl, the Youth Services Librarian at the Portsmouth Public Library will be there to hand out free swag, talk about our programming, and do a story hour, too. Join us for this free event at the Seacoast Science Center!
