Program Description

Details

Children, families, and classical music lovers are invited to a very special free performance at the library this month!

Visiting musicians, from institutions like New England Conservatory and New York Philharmonic, will play movements from Borodin's String Quartet #2 and Mendelssohn's String Quintet #1, opus 18.  Musicians will also discuss the history of quartets, and answer questions!

This free educational opportunity is presented by the Halcyon Music Festival, which runs June 16-25 at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

The Halcyon Music Festival brings world-class musicians and talented young professionals to live, work, and perform together. It is the mission of HMF to create a community where chamber music will be explored and presented at the highest artistic level.

Space is limited. Registration is required.
