Voter Registration @ the Library

The Office of the City Clerk and the Portsmouth Public Library invite Portsmouth residents to register to vote or update their voter registration during extended hours at the library.

You may register to vote in the Presidential/State General Election on:

• Saturday September 28 from 11 AM until 12:30 PM. 

Voter Registration Requirements:

1. You must be 18 years of age or will be 18 prior to election day.
2. You must bring a photo identification.
3. You must be a U.S. Citizen/Naturalized Citizen (if not born in the U.S., you will need to show U.S. Passport or Naturalization Documentation).
4. You must bring one of the following: A Birth Certificate, a U.S. Passport, or a U.S. Military Identification
5. You must bring proof of residency (with Portsmouth Physical Address). 

 
The Presidential/State General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Polling locations are open from 8 AM until 8 PM.

Registration is not required. This is a drop-in event.
