Voter Registration @ the Library

The Office of the City Clerk and the Portsmouth Public Library invite Portsmouth residents to register to vote or update their voter registration during extended hours at the library.

You may register to vote at these upcoming sessions:

• Wednesday August 28 from 5 PM until 6:30 PM.
  Register for the State Primary & the Presidential/State General Election. 
• Wednesday September 25 from 5 PM until 6:30 PM.
  Register for the Presidential/State General Election.
• Saturday September 28 from 11 AM until 12:30 PM.
  Register for the Presidential/State General Election.

Voter Registration Requirements:

1. You must be 18 years of age or will be 18 prior to election day.
2. You must bring a photo identification.
3. You must be a U.S. Citizen/Naturalized Citizen (if not born in the U.S., you will need to show U.S. Passport or Naturalization Documentation).
4. You must bring one of the following: A Birth Certificate, a U.S. Passport, or a U.S. Military Identification
5. You must bring proof of residency (with Portsmouth Physical Address). 

The State Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Polling hours are 8 AM to 7 PM.

The Presidential/State General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Polling hours are 8 AM to 8 PM.

Registration is not required. This is a drop-in event.
