Roots of Renewal: Documentary Screening & Conversation with Florence Reed

Join us for a special screening of Roots of Renewal, a documentary that explores the transformative power of sustainable agriculture in the Global South. Discover how local farmers and communities are leading the way in bottom-up economic development while combating climate change through regenerative farming practices. This powerful film showcases real-world solutions that not only restore the land but also empower communities to thrive sustainably.

Following the screening, Florence Reed, Founder of Sustainable Harvest International, will share her insights in a moderated Q&A session, diving deeper into the impact of grassroots agricultural initiatives. A post-event reception will follow with light refreshments.

Don’t miss this engaging conversation on how grassroots initiatives are shaping a more sustainable and equitable future. This program is offered through a partnership between the Portsmouth Public Library and the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire.

If you are not able to attend in person at the library but still want to be involved, the film and Q&A will be available to watch online. You may watch the documentary beforehand or during the event by visiting  Sustainable Harvest International's media page.  Tune in to the livestream on the World Affairs Council homepage at 6:40 PM to view and participate in the Q&A session.
