Presented by the library’s Special Collections staff and members of the Ranger Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), these events are free, open to the public, and appropriate for all levels of interest and experience. All levels will learn something new!

Ever wondered about your heritage or the stories of your ancestors? Portsmouth Public Library invites you to a unique opportunity to connect with your family's history. Join us for our free Lineage Society Fair, where you can meet with representatives from a wide range of lineage, heritage, and genealogical groups.

Whether you're curious about membership, activities, or the missions behind these organizations, this is the perfect chance to ask questions and get answers directly from the source. You'll learn about their outreach and volunteer projects, and discover how to join their ranks. Plus, many of these groups offer special chapters for youth, as well as coveted scholarship opportunities.
