The Library is committed to providing programs to educate, engage, and inform. This election year, it seems more important than ever to have conversations about solving problems facing the state and nation.

We are pleased to work with NH Together, a project of The People, to offer an opportunity to discuss problems and solutions for New Hampshire issues. Come learn about NH Together and their findings based on what they have heard from people like you at various listening sessions around the state. Following the brief presentation, attendees will split into small groups to discuss their concerns and potential solutions to the problems raised.  Groups will work collaboratively to discuss and define the specific problems they want to address and consider a range of possible solutions.

Some universal issues have been identified since September 2023 at NH Together Listening Sessions across New Hampshire, by recent statewide polling conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, and through input from a bipartisan panel of advisors are:

  • Strengthening voter confidence in elections
  • Reducing polarization
  • Improving political responsiveness by our representatives in government.

Those who participate in the program will have an opportunity to attend a Citizens Assembly, on June 21 - 23, in Manchester, NH. There will also be other online discussions that will be open to NH residents. See the NH Together website for more information.

Registration is required.

About NH Together and our Facilitators
New Hampshire Together offers Granite Staters a way to identify issues of widespread concern and prioritize a specific topic for deliberation and action; consider the problem from different perspectives and surface possible solutions; and then act to produce meaningful, measurable change.
