Program Description

Details

Join Seacoast Climate Action Now/Portsmouth Climate Action and local experts to discuss community issues. These monthly meetings encourage conversation among community members about sustainability, climate change and its factors. The conversation will begin with a presentation by experts to set the stage for a larger discussion among those in attendance.

The theme of this month's conversation is resiliency and adaptation. We will discuss the current state of the effects climate has had on the local/regional environment, potential future effects of climate change on our local/regional environment, what is being done to prepare for these and future impacts locally and regionally, and what people can do individually to have a positive impact on our ability to adapt and be resilient

Some specific areas of discussion include:

  • phenology
  • sea level rise
  • weather extremes

Registration is not required. The Community Climate Conversations are held in the Levenson Community Room.
