Program Description

Details

The Queen herself requests the pleasure of your company at the event of the season: the Regency Ball.

Who shall rise as the diamond amid Portsmouth’s best and brightest? Hosted within the hallowed halls of Portsmouth Public Library, this soirée is free and open to all fans of Bridgerton, Jane Austen, British history, and general elegance and enchantment. Indulge in delectable delicacies, immerse yourself in the art of dance with expert instruction, and prepare to embark on a journey through time and romance!

For those who dare to embrace the spirit of the Regency, we encourage the adornment of attire reminiscent of the era—though such finery is not compulsory. Prizes await all, but your chances grow if you attend in costume, so let your imagination unfurl like a silken ribbon, and grace our gathering with your sartorial elegance.

For our young guests, there will be delightful activities and games to engage their imaginations and spirits, ensuring a memorable experience for all members of the family.

Join us as we pay homage to the literary legacies of Austen and the opulent allure of Bridgerton, in an evening destined to linger in memory like the pages of a beloved novel. Your RSVP is kindly requested.
